Adapt was an annual teaching and learning conference held each May from 2020-2023. Small Steps, Big Impact Podcast

You can make a big impact on student success through small steps. The Small Steps, Big Impact Podcast ran from fall 2022-fall 2023. The podcast explored how to create supportive and welcoming learning environments where all students can thrive. Building classrooms that reflect these values requires ongoing effort and thoughtful practice. Our Small Steps, Big Impact podcast provides practical strategies and discussions to help educators create engaging and accessible learning spaces for everyone.

Literary Circles

Literary Circles unite instructors around a particular topic and text (book, articles, and/or podcasts) related to the scholarship on teaching and learning. We provide the resources, and instructors provide thoughtful conversation!

May 2025: Accessibility Incubator

In preparation for campus compliance with Title II of the Americans with Disabilities Act of 1990 and Section 504 of the Rehabilitation Act of 1973, join the UTLC and campus partners for a two day course retrofitting incubator. Bring your course and work directly with campus experts to ensure your courses are accessible and compliant before spring 2026! We’ll bring the snacks.

Teaching in the MAC program? Join the General Education Council (GEC) and the UTLC as we explore the teaching in MAC.

Part 1: Civics & Community Competency

(9:00-12:00PM)examine the new Civics and Community competency, faculty perspectives on teaching the Foundations of American Democracy documents, collaborative work time.

Part 2: All Competencies

(1:00-3:00PM): facilitated breakout groups discussing different competencies in MAC.
